About

A.D.A.P.T.'s primary aim is to improve the quality of life of both disabled and disadvantaged people in West Northumberland.
To achieve this we provide services on a needs led basis, which are monitored by a voluntary Trustee board.
A.D.A.P.T. works closely with partners in both the voluntary and statutory sector and supports working with and through partners to achieve its aims.

A.D.A.P.T. began in the early 1990s with a perceived need among a group of disabled people for better access to services. The organisation has grown substantially since, and developed over the years until today it runs a successful transport fleet and offers a range of other services in rural West Northumberland and beyond.

Seeing the need to become more self reliant, A.D.A.P.T. has also recently developed a range of products and services to improve income generation while holding to its primary aims.

By using our quality services organisations are assured of individual and personal attention while, at the same time, they will be helping us in our work with and for the most disadvantaged members of our community.
